New name means new growth for property services specialist

Novus Property Solutions is the new name of national property maintenance specialist Seddon Property Services.

Stuart Seddon, chairman of Novus, is predicting new growth and new jobs at the rebranded company which employs 1,000 people and delivers property services from more than 30 offices across the UK.

The name change to Novus – the Latin word for ‘new’ – follows a reorganisation of the ownership of parent company Seddon Group.

This has established Novus – which is led by Stuart Seddon and his family – as an independent trading business.

The company will continue to draw on its strong heritage whilst also benefitting from the added freedom that comes with being an independent trading organisation. It is now able to provide a wider range of specialised property services for clients and customers.

“We’re excited about this move and the opportunities for growth it brings to our national property services business which is supported by a strong balance sheet, an extensive geographical presence across the UK and significant sector expertise,” says Novus chairman Stuart Seddon.

“The Novus name gives us a strong identity in the marketplace and reflects our commitment to delivering fresh, innovative and forward-thinking solutions for our clients. This move is all about growth – we are not planning any redundancies as a result of this change – and we anticipate it will create new employment opportunities.”

Headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent, Novus provides a full range of planned and reactive maintenance and refurbishment services to the housing, hotel and leisure, commercial and retail, education, healthcare and local authority sectors. The company combines local expertise and consistently high-quality customer service with the ability to deliver projects across the UK.
