Johnstone’s Painter of the Year awards set to sparkle

The forthcoming Johnstone’s Painter of the Year Awards is set to be the biggest and best yet as the brand marks its 125th anniversary in style.

With a record number of exceptionally high quality applications, the judges will have their work cut out to select the winners before all is revealed during the glitzy ceremony on Saturday 16th May.

The annual event has become a highlight on the decorating calendar, with decorators from across the country coming together to celebrate the great and the good of the industry.

Chris Green - POTY 13 Supreme Winner

The reigning holder of the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year title, Chris Green (pictured above), has spoken of the success he’s enjoyed since winning last year. He said: “It’s had a massive knock-on effect that I’ve felt through the whole year. We’re still getting enquires flooding in and I have no doubts that it’s because we won Johnstone’s Painter of the Year. It’s been a really positive year and something I hope to continue to build on.”

The winner of the inaugural Johnstone’s Community Spirit Award, which is designed to highlight responsible businesses making a difference to the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of their local community, will also be announced at the awards.

For more than 30 years, Johnstone’s Trade has recognised the industry’s finest professional decorators through the Johnstone’s Painter of the Year award. For more information please visit
