Johnstone’s encourages decorators to get into the spirit

Johnstone’s Trade is inviting decorators to nominate community projects close to their hearts for a decorative makeover, as part of its ongoing support of local communities.

The Johnstone’s Trade ‘Community Spirit’ campaign is encouraging decorators to put forward community groups or projects – whether that be a rundown scout hut or an amateur boxing club – to receive a full makeover of its facilities.

Nominations will close on Friday 21st November, before a shortlist of four projects will be put to a public vote to decide the lucky winner. The winning project will then benefit from having its facilities redecorated during the spring of 2015.

The ‘Community Spirit’ campaign will be run in conjunction with the Football League Trust as part of Johnstone’s long-standing sponsorship of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy. All 48 Football League teams involved in this season’s competition will also be asked to nominate one project from its immediate local area to represent the club.

Ben Wilde, Johnstone’s Trade brand and sponsorship manager, said: “This is an extremely exciting project which enables us to reflect on the work that we regularly carry out with local communities, and gives us the opportunity to work closely with the Football League clubs involved with our sponsorship of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

“It’s great to be able to give something back to communities and know that we’ve made a difference to a worthy project. If there’s somewhere in your local community that would benefit from winning don’t hesitate in nominating them!”

If you have a project that you would like to nominate in your local area, please complete the form on www.johnstonestrade.com/communityspirit and your application will be forwarded to your local League 1 or League 2 club for their selection. Full Terms and conditions can also be found here.
