Changing lives one step at a time

Novus Property Solutions Changing Lives Launch

National property maintenance specialist Novus Property Solutions has unveiled its ambitious plan to change 10,000 lives this year as part of its ongoing commitment to being a responsible business.

The Changing Lives scheme, launched at its inaugural Excellence Awards Dinner in December, is designed to get the entire Novus workforce involved, inspiring staff from all areas of the business and all over the country to help make a difference to the communities in which they operate.

The idea behind the initiative is simple. Novus will be doing all it can to make a positive contribution and help improve people’s lives. Whether it’s supporting a careers event at a school or college, providing a work placement or full time employment for someone or making donations of time or materials to charitable causes, Novus is determined to make a difference and change 10,000 lives in 2015.

With 30 offices across the whole of the UK, Novus is encouraging all its employees not just to take part in any Changing Lives projects where possible, but also to actively put forward suggestions for their local community and projects close to their own hearts. Staff have wasted no time in backing the scheme and showing their support, having already landscaped a garden at a sheltered housing scheme, donated an industrial toaster to a school breakfast club and refurbished a community centre.

Kevin Rhone, corporate social responsibility manager at Novus said: “Making a positive difference to the communities in which we work is something which is incredibly important to us as a responsible business. Our mission to change 10,000 lives is a big undertaking but I know that the team won’t let us down – the ideas are already flooding in and it looks like it’s going to be a busy year!”
