Products from the high performance portfolio of Johnstone’s Trade have played an integral role in the success of a DIY Masterclass hosted by Bell Group for residents of Affinity Sutton.
The DIY Masterclass recently took place in one of Affinity Sutton’s vacant apartments in Borehamwood and was designed to arm residents with simple DIY skills that they can put to use in their own homes.
Decorating professionals from Bell Group were on hand to demonstrate how to use Johnstone’s market-leading Aqua Water Based Gloss range on doors and door frames, as well as providing top tips on how to hang wallpaper and how best to use a variety of decorating sundries, which were supplied by Johnstone’s sister brand Fat Hog.
Residents were unanimously positive about the DIY Masterclass, saying “I had a lovely informative morning and would love to do something like this again” and “I now feel a lot more confident about undertaking a decorating project”.
Johnstone’s also donated decorating goody bags to all residents who attended, which contained a roller set, brushes, filling knife and paint kettle.
Victoria Adamson, Resident Liaison Officer for Bell Group, was there on the day and said: “Investing in the communities in which we work is of great importance to Bell Group. The day was a real success and we’d like to give special thanks to Johnstone’s for its support on the day.”
Helen Tiplady, Johnstone’s Trade specification marketing manager, said: “We are proud to have an excellent relationship with Bell Group and were only too happy to supply product and goody bags for such a worthwhile event.
“We are passionate about decorating and anything that can be done to arm residents with skills to undertake their own decorating is something we support wholeheartedly.”
